• Began lessons at 6 years after grandmother ( a rag time piano player) and mother ( who sang at The Met) took me to see “The Benny Goodman Story”
• Studied performance and education at Illinois Wesleyan University

• Studied a short time with Clark Brody (principal clarinetist with Chicago Symphony Orchestra
• Biggest thrills come from watching students achieve outstanding results at competitions.

• Jana - wife, soul mate, retired CFO, and 1 time rock and roll singer.
• Kevin – adult son, personal chef, stay at home father, and wine consultant
• Max – adult son, about to embark on a matrimonial sojourn, wine consultant and sales

INTERESTS/HOBBIES

• Student of Anthropology (Cultural Evolution)
• Love cooking and good wine

• Studied Music and Health & Physical Education in college but spent my entire career as a waiter, restaurant manager, and as a managerial consultant.
