PERSONAL MUSIC HISTORY

• Played trumpet 4 years in junior high band and 4 years in high school band
• Played in the McHenry County Youth Orchestra for 2 years
• Majored in Music Education with an emphasis in trumpet for 3 years at Butler University, Indiana
• Played professionally with various local musicians and solos for events such as Midnight mass,
  concerts in the park, restaurants, holiday special music, weddings, funerals, etc
• Was a choir director at a church for 2 years
• I took a break from playing my trumpet for 15 years while I finished raising our 4 children and
  established a career for a non-profit ministry fighting human trafficking
• After leaving my last profession, I started playing again in January 2025 when I joined NHBD

• Was a professional homemaker who raised and homeschooled our 4 children from 1992-2015
• Worked as a bookkeeper for Sing ‘n Learn – 2014-2024
• Chess Teacher/coach for Enrichment Chess – 2015-2017
• Worked as an administrative assistant at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship – 2017-2020
• Safe House Coordinator for Poiema Foundation (Anti-trafficking organization) 2020
• Program Director for Poiema Safe House – 2021-2024
• WealthWave Financial Educator – 2025 - Present

FAMILY

• I am the youngest of 7 children (1 sister, 5 brothers, 2 sister-in laws). Mother is only parent left
• Married my husband, Phil, in July 1991
• Have 3 sons, 1 daughter, and now a daughter-in-love
• Phil's parents are deceased

INTERESTS/HOBBIES

• I love playing and coaching chess, playing Sudoku puzzles, jigsaw puzzles
• I love working out in my flower garden and being outdoors
• Camping, kayaking, hiking, and traveling are my favorites!
• I am remembering how much I enjoy playing my trumpet with a band
• I love worshiping God and serving Him in every area of my life

OTHER

• All 4 of our kids were born in different states (IL, IA, KY, OH)
• We have 4 dogs…all black and white Terrier mix (Angel, Tony, Donny, and Teddy)
