Music History
My musical career has been
short but sweet. I played in the McKinney High School stage band 1960-1961 and the
McKinney High School marching band 1960-1964. I was in the University of Texas Longhorn
Marching Band 1964-1967.
I stopped playing for 41 years, during which time I was in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1976,
attended Sam Houston State University 1976-1978, where I received a BS in Mathematics with
a minor in Computer Science, and worked as a computer programmer at Geophysical Services
Inc., a division of Texas Instruments, and Omega Optical, a manufacturer of eye glasses.
In Feb. 2007 I retired. Yeah!!!!! I started playing with the New Horizons Band and Upswing
Jazz Band in 2008.
