If you are looking for a classically trained musician or a formal musical education, then count me out. What you have here is a lover of music since age 5, when my family got a radio. You get a self-taught musician who expanded her knowledge as the need arose and explored this medium of expression spasmodically until 20 years ago, when I sang with a senior group for 3 years. I took a year off to learn to chord accompaniment on the piano. And for 9 years, two performances a month, I entertained organizations and other groups of people with a story line wrapped around the songs I wanted to sing that day, many of which I wrote.

Although I quit performing solo, I continued singing, playing and writing songs for my own amusement. When someone said, "Wanna join a band?", I heard myself saying "Yes". Tackling the bells is one of the hardest things I've ever done. But I love being around musicians who have the same passion for their music as I have for the visual arts. (I'm really a painter.)
