PERSONAL MUSIC HISTORY

• Started the clarinet in 7th grade and played the bass clarinet in 8th and 9th grades. Dropped it when I moved to a new school.
• Picked it up again 5 years ago when I heard about the Denton New Horizons Band.
• Joined the Dallas NHB 1 year ago in order to have a band year round.

• Graduated University of Texas in business and engineering
• Telecommunications engineer with Southwestern Bell
• Engineering Manager, Division Manager, VP Customer Service w/Contel Corp and GTE
• President of Digital Techniques Inc., electronics design and manufacturing in Allen, TX
• Moved all over the country: Texas, Washington, Georgia, New Hampshire, California

• Married, wife Carol
• 2 sons (1 deceased)
• 1 grandson in Dallas

INTERESTS/HOBBIES

• Volunteer as a Texas Master Naturalist
• Woodworking, golf, biking, kayaking, gardening, sailing
