OBITUARY
Eugene (Gene) Teasley, Jr., 81, passed away
November 19, 2015. He was born and raised in Dallas, graduated from Woodrow Wilson. He was in ROTC and band at Woodrow. Gene graduated from SMU where he played in the
band and received a degree in business. Preceding him in death are his parents, E.H. Teasley
and Elizabeth King Teasley; one sister, Shirlie Burns; and one stepson, Jeff
Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Delores; sons. Jeff Teasley and his
wife, Janice, Ryan Teasley, and Kyle Teasley; daughter, Juli and her
husband, Frank Long; stepson, Kelly Gibson and his wife, Angi; and many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Before
retirement Gene was president and owner of E.H. Teasley Co. He had many
hobbies throughout his life. He was a blue belt in karate. He loved hunting
and camping with his best buddies. He was an avid golfer at Lakewood Country
Club. He loved to travel and played golf at various destinations. He had a
show dog, Sunny Boy, a weimaraner, who competed in and won several
competitions. He loved playing trumpet in the Dallas New Horizons Band and
UpSwing. He enjoyed his family and many friends. He will be greatly
missed.
